Freshman Council Executive Board
Chairman Matthew Gonzales is currently pursuing a B.S. from the College of Engineering and Science for Physics with a Secondary Education Minor for Teacher Certification in Physics/Mathematics for 7th-12th grade. Growing up Matthew lived only in Fentress, Texas, only 15 miles away from the beautiful city of San Marcos and the gorgeous campus of Texas State University. Being a native to the area Matthew is more than excited to welcome and represent the Bobcat class of 2021! Matthew looks forward to aiding every need of the freshmen as they conquer their first year together.
Vice Chairwoman Diana Aldermae comes from Fort Worth, Texas and is a Business Marketing major and attaining an International Business minor. Texas. Diana carried a lot of leadership experience with her as she transitioned from high school to Texas State University. Loving to give back to her community and making a difference Diana hopes to use her natural talent to make Texas State a welcoming environment for all freshmen.
Monnette is a Biochemistry major at Texas State University. Monnettee joined Freshman Council to help make a difference on campus through helping create events that bring awareness and opportunities to freshmen on campus.
Paola Lozano – Sanchez is from Texas State University’s own backyard, Austin, Texas. Paola is working to be an English major with a minor for Teacher Certification and Spanish. Paola has expressed a deep desire for equality her entire life. Paola hopes to act on this strong passion so that her fellow classmates and university can become productive and inclusive.
Jourdan Spence is from Friendswood, Texas and was an active member of his high school’s extra-curricular activities. Jourdan made the decision to come to Texas State University after seeing the opportunities and help available for him to grow. Jourdan is attending Texas State for a major in History and a minor in Military Science. Jourdan hopes to leave a legacy and change for the campus and students as a member of Freshman Council.
Davie graduated from Bellville High School and chose to attend Texas State University based on the atmosphere the university shares with his hometown. Davie is pursuing a major in Public Administration with a minor Political Science. Davie hopes to encourage and give the freshman the tools to speak out actively and listen to the concerns of students.
