Diversity Subcommittee

The Graduate House of Representatives for Texas State University is looking for candidates who are willing to serve as members of the Diversity Committee.  The Diversity Committee is a subcommittee of the Graduate House focused on issues of equity and social justice on campus and within the community at large.  This committee is dedicated to an inclusive and equitable campus and is looking for candidates to help implement actions towards this end. The committee will meet at least twice monthly on Fridays from 11:30 am-12:30 pm, directly before the Graduate House meetings (a schedule will be provided).  Candidates interested in applying for a seat on this committee should provide evidence of the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

1. Candidate is a currently enrolled graduate student, Masters or Doctoral, at Texas State.

2. Candidate MUST be committed and able to attend the monthly meeting.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Candidate participates in one or more campus or community clubs or activities and maintains an active role in these clubs/activities.
  2. Candidate is committed to serving for a term of at least one calendar year.
