The Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch of the Texas State University Student Government is comprised of three bodies, the Senate, the House, and the Freshman Council. The Senate possesses the majority of power bestowed to the legislative branch with the House holding the remaining legislative power. Freshman Council is granted the authority to petition on behalf of the Freshman Class to other organizations or Student Government, but cannot legislate. Through these three chambers the voices of the Students are heard and acted upon through the passing of Bills, Resolutions, and Simple Resolutions.
